I always read this author and series for some good laughs. If I close my eyes I can almost picture in my mind the characters and world in the book. And oh my, Tate Lulu is just a hoot. I had a great great aunt who was almost as eccentric as Tate Lulu so I can relate. Sadly my aunt is no longer with us but her stories live on and are something of family legend. Aaron and Fleur seem the most reluctant people to want a relationship yet the author manages to show the reader how even the most reluctant can fall under the magic of Tate Lulu. I like how SH allows the reader to hear what is going on inside of her characters. This author always leaves me feeling light hearted.
Way too slow-moving, so it's taking me forever to read it. And unlike many others, I have never ever liked Tante Lulu. I don't like her poor grammar and she's just annoying. I get so tired of her and this novel just doesn't grab me the way most of Sandra Hill's novels do. I pick up the book, read a few pages, then put the book back down again. Sorry to say the book bores me. I should give it a one-star rating rather than two, but haven't the heart to do that to Sandra Hill.
I have read all Sandra Hills books, and they are all wonderfully written. They grab you from page one. They are very funny as well. Any of her books are to be great reads. I most say the Cajun books as well as the Viking Series 2 are the very best! Start off with the, Last Viking.
I hope she lives forever! This is a great story about Aaron. I couldn't wait for his story to come out. The story line includes sexy trade trafficking ( serious business ). There's enough usual Tate Lulu and St. Jude to make this crazy entertaining! It's great to hear about all the other lovely Cajuns! Ending is priceless!
I love, love, love Sandra Hill’s Cajun series None of them have disappointed. Full of humor, romance and wonderful fun characters. Can not wait for her next book
Tante Lulu is such a beloved character. The love of this family and gorgeousness is completely entertaining. It makes me want to visit southern Loozeanna.
I really enjoyed this book! It made me laugh out loud numerous times. It also shed light on the problem of sex trafficking. Great book that I didn't want to put down and I highly recommend reading it since it is now one of my favorites written by Sandra Hill.
Love this author and this story line. Liked the background of Louise.
