I purchased this book for my 5 year old son so he could get a head start on Kindergarten. The book is appropriate for Kindergarten, and the pages very gradually get more difficult from front to back. The included pictures are one of the first pages and one of the last so you can see the range in difficulty. Covers counting to 20, shapes, patterns, and adding coins among other topics.We did a page per day with my son, and he never got bored or found it too challenging. Highly recommended.
Does NOT have any equations. Only counting and number, time, coin identification. I was hoping for a workbook with diff colorful activities/worksheets for the math facts up to sum 10. Like 1+1 or 8+2. But it’s only counting, writing practice, and identification. My kinder was doing simple math equations up to sum 10 and in first grade is starting on 10+ sums. I was hoping for practice prior to first grade level. It’s not really a transition book.
I love this book because it has time and money, fractions, four shapes, color shapes, draw shapes, find shapes,addition, write the numbers, how man?y, match how many, color how many, count color write, find the numbers, write the numbers, dot to dot, which set is greater, which set has more, one more, two more, which number is less, which set has fewer, one less, two less, what belongs between, draw missing objects, what comes after, what comes before, money, count money, how much does it cost, and what I learned reviews ( 4 pages of that) . I use this book to homeschool my daughter she is 5 1/2 .I hope this review helps..
My son isn't in kindergarten until this fall, but I wanted to get him a good math book to work on over the summer. This one is a great one to help him transition into the value of the numbers. The progress that the book takes is great, and I can already tell that he is grasping more each time. He enjoys doing it, as there are activities in it that involve coloring. If you are looking for a book to help your child with math at home, I would highly suggest this one.

This is a great book. My daughter (who is 4 1/2) Can easily do this with my help (reading instructions to her) And it is really preparing her for kindergarten. Def the best math book I've found.

As a home school mom I look for other things to keep my kids interested, this does hat with my kindergartner. He loves it.
My daughter loves to do these worksheets. Its easy to follow and she has fun with it. I wish I could find one like this for sight words as well.
