BUYER BEWARE. This book does not do what you think it might do from reading the title. This book is what I would call an advertising book written by the author to attract business and promote his, "Living Trust Plus", system. The book does give a lot of very, very good information on the use or otherwise of wills, revocable trusts, joint ownership, etc. Most of this information is readily available either free on the internet or from similar books. I purchased this book on the presumption that, as per the title, I would learn about protecting assets from Long-Term Care fees. The only information relevant to that was to hire a lawyer who had been doing this for over 20 years, (Mr. Farr), one who has the all important CELA certification, (Mr. Farr), one who is also a member of NAELA, (Mr. Farr), who is a ten year member of aforementioned organisation and therefore also a "highly qualified elder law attorney", and a member of CAP, Council of Advanced Practioners, (Mr. Farr) and who is a practitioner of the trademarked "Living Trust Plus" system, (Mr. Farr). The solution to the problem of, "Protecting Your Assets from....Long-Term Care is most definitely not to be found within the pages of this book, it is to be found by contacting Mr. Farr or one of his associated attorneys and paying them for their services. If you want to do that go to LivingTrustPlus.com or FarrLawFirm.com but don't waste your time and money like I did in buying this book because you aren't going to find what you thought you might find when you read the rather misleading title.
Good information. Wish it had been more state specific but a good overview. Case studies were helpful.

Very helpful and informative. Mr. Farr offers readers expert advice on how to use the Living Trust Plus to avoid the problems of probate and the risks of lawsuits and nursing home care. He discusses in detail living trusts – both the regular living trust (i.e., the revocable living trust designed primarily to protect your assets from probate) and the Living Trust Plus, designed to protect your assets from probate, lawsuits, and nursing home expenses. This book taught me about options I didn't know were available, and saved me lots of money, headaches, and time when it comes to planning for myself and my loved ones.
