Just a heads up this repair book doent have any 2500 hd stuff in it.
This manual does not have the excellent and very clear writing of the several Haynes Manuals I've purchased over the past 40 years. Alas, I made a mistake in expecting it covered my 2005 GMC Sierra CrewCab 2500HD, which is a 6.6 Liter diesel with the Allison transmission. So I had to use a U-Tube video to replace the radiator.
OK for the price, leaves out some needed info for serious repairs, mostly the same exact pics as the Chilton version model 28625 but the chilton has more info and about 20+ more pages for the same price so if your choosing between the two don't waste the money for the haynes.
In my experience you won't find a better manual for in depth rebuild for most models of American vehicles. Manual arrived in perfect condition, still wrapped in original plastic.
I give the manual 5 stars, mainly because it provided the information I needed like oil viscosities, torque specs, service intervals ect. Very happy with it. Do wish they covered transfer case rebuilds and trans rebuilds but I know those are for a book all to themselves so I'm ok with that.
I already used this book so many times now for works around the vehicle. Of course it won't cover everything a GM's service manual would but for regular maintenance, repairs and general understanding it is great one. The only drawback is that the recycled-grade paper is turning yellow after years of use.
I'm glad I got the Haynes repair manual, it has a lot of important information for the home mechanic. Some parts of the manual are very general and don't go into depth but its still worth having, its come in handy.
I always buy Haynes repair manuals for any vehicle purchased by my family members where I am the designated mechanic. I prefer Haynes over their competitors since they simplify the process by using straight forward language and good pics.
