I had 1st read this book in jail and there was something Ross Perot says that I thought was brilliant. By the time I was released, rejoining society, & getting back on track, I completely forgot what words he used. So besides this book being a true, heroic story of a patriotic mission, the words I sought are now words I recite to myself when making a decision. If you want to know, you gotta read the book.
When things look bad and then go rotten, you need to know you have the best team working with you and for you. Ross Perot expected a lot of his people, but he looked out for his team. This is an extraordinary story of how determined Mr. Perot was to rescue his two employees from Iran.
An outstanding account of an incident that occurred in our recent history. It depicts actions of our businessmen without any significant cooperation of our Government to protect our business citizens and community when threatened by a rogue empire..
I am naturally criticsl but can think of nothing to criticize in this excrptionally well written book. The read will keep you on the edge of your chair. There is excitement on virtually every page, beginning to end. I frequently found myself saying, this can't be true - but it is. The book also brings to the forefront the craziness that is the Middle East. Many years have passed since the described events occurred, but it seems like nothing has changed. A byproduct of the book is insight into Ross Perot that is not likely to be found elsewhere.
A true story told in a Moving and action paced style with wonderfully descriptive passages that accurately describe the turmoil and danger in the streets of Tehran during the revolution.The key players are resourceful, dogged and never give up. Their goal is to get the two EDS employees out of a brutal jail and get them, the rescuers and the rest of the American EDS staff safely home.
I was unaware of what I was reading about at the outset. I'm old enough to remember the time and events. Living in Texas, I was very aware of Ross Perot I saw him when he ran for president and again in Branson, MO, when he was instrumental in welcoming thousands of GIs home from Vietnam on the 30th anniversary of the end of the war I really enjoyed this detailed account of these events. I'm unsure if the young could grasp this, but it's excellently written for all to enjoy.

It's a true history from first-person accounts of a very dark period for America that made Iraq the land that exports fundamental Islamic terror worldwide.Ross Perot should have been elected president. He just wasn't photogenic, but he had more cajones than most men! Carter had none!
